Our History, Investments, Projects, Achievements

Headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, Eris Enterprises began as a holding company investing in innovative pharmaceutical ventures. Over the years, it has grown into a dynamic player in the global pharmaceutical industry, with numerous successful investments and mergers, establishing expertise in the sector.

Our first project was the foundation and top management of Eris Pharmaceuticals (Australia) Pty Ltd, known as Eris Pharma, with Corporate HQ in Australia, Regional BD Offices in Greece, and a presence in over 25 countries.

2009

Eris Pharmaceuticals (Eris Pharma) was founded.

2010

Entered a joint venture with Ascent Pharmahealth, the 4th largest generic pharmaceutical company in Australia.

2012

Ascent was acquired by Watson (now Actavis), including Eris Pharma.

End of 2012

Eris Pharma became an independent entity through a management buyout, exiting the Actavis group.

2013

FMH Group, a Swiss-based pharma company, acquired the majority of Eris Pharma shares.

2013 onward

Eris Pharma established two separate business units targeting Emerging Markets and the Australia & New Zealand Markets.

2015

Acquisition of Aurobindo Australia by Eris Pharmaceuticals.

End of 2016

Eris Enterprises exited the shareholding venture.

Our second project was the transformation and improvement of Adelco Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics in Moschato, Greece, the oldest Greek manufacturer of medicines and cosmetics, aiming to enhance the company’s activities in Greece and grow its business in the overseas markets.

At the end of 2016

Our Managing Director Panos Athanasiou, appointed General Manager of Adelco Pharmaceuticals and cosmetics SA, contributing to the ownership’s/CEO’s plans for factory renovation, product developments, ERP improvements and dossiers acquisitions.

At the end of 2016

As part of Adelco’s strategic expansion plan, Eris Enterprises established Adelco Pharmaceuticals Australia Pty Ltd, based in Melbourne, as a local Australian sponsor, and during these years (2016-2024) achieved TGAs approval of the factory in Moschato (Athens) Greece, was granted by TGA MAs in various OTC products, and established contract manufacturing partnership with a reputable Australian company and distribution partnerships with local distributors.

2017

As part of Adelco’s strategic expansion plan, Eris Enterprises established Adelco MENA Jordan Ltd, based in Amman, as a local office for the Middle East Business Development growth, expanding the presence and business of the company with factory approvals and products registrations to almost all MENA region.

2017-2024

During this period there were significant investments in modernizing the manufacturing facilities, obtaining approvals and licenses in many countries, achieving in-licensing and out-licensing agreements, forming new partnerships and launching new products and expanding R&D initiatives with achieved growth of Adelco’s presence in Middle East, Europe and Asia.

2024

Panos Athanasiou stepped down as GM of Adelco Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics SA and a new collaboration platform with Adelco is under exploration.
